The Richtersveld is situated in the most North-Western corner of South Africa, just below the Namibian border.  Richtersveld Tours has been operating in the Richtersveld (and surrounding areas) for more than two years. Johan and Magda are registered cultural guides. We’ve received the Northern Cape "Service excellence award 2008" from the Northern Cape department of Tourism.

What make Richtersveld Tours unique?

We offer customised tours into the Richtersveld.  We supply the driver/guide, 4x4 vehicle, fuel, camping equipment, meals (freshly prepared on tour), snacks (between meals), bottled water, camping/chalet fees, permits into the restricted mining area and special permission to go onto privately owned land with unique fauna and flora.

Short and sweet— We find out exactly what you want to see and experience, and we’ll make sure you see and experience the Richtersveld, without worrying about a single thing!  All you have to do is send us an e-mail...we’ll take it from there!

Johan and Magda, owners of this company are personally involved with every tour.  They will share their knowledge of this mountain desert with you while their team will set up camp, prepare the meals and even do the dishes afterwards!!

Apart from our standard Richtersveld tours, we also do tours on the West Coast, staying close to the ocean, camping on remote beaches, visiting some of the small towns on the West Coast, and also visiting a few shipwrecks.

GROUP SIZE?

Although we have a basic framework in terms of dates, we also work on first come first served bases in reserving dates for trips.  We will start to plan tours with two people, (for at least two days) and can accommodate up to 20 people.

Tourists might be able to join in with other groups.

Groups larger than 8 people, can only be accommodated if they are prepared to camp as most of the guesthouses in the Richtersveld can only accommodate up to 8 people (sharing).
